Glacier Hike – The Creaking of Ice

While the ice ridges of the Bernina Massif stretch out in the background over 12 km and a thousand metres in altitude, only a fraction of the billions of tonnes of glacier ice can be explored.

The trail zigzags expertly across firn fields, leading to such natural phenomena as glacier tables, bank moraines and ice cracks.

· guided one-day tour lasting approx. 5 hours; sure footing required
· equipment: mountain or hiking boots, rain & sun protection, gloves, sticks recommended, rucksack picnic
· minimum number of participants: 4
· children from the age of 7; no dogs
